Two of the greatest pleasures in my life are food, and people watching. Being able to combine the two at the same time is the ultimate. And the first day of 2015 was spent doing just that – finding a comfy spot in the newest cafe in Entebbe and watching the passing parade.
Cafe Java has only had its doors open for one month and is doing a brisk trade judging by the number of families that stopped in during the time we were relaxing there. With a perfect recipe of spaciousness, a bright and airy feel, an extensive menu serving great food, and serving staff that just don’t quit, it’s well on it’s way to becoming a well-frequented favourite. Combined with the clever ploy of some free child friendly activities – crayons and colouring pictures, face painting on Sundays and public holidays, it looks as though this might be THE number one spot for Entebbe.
Certainly the straw-collapsing thick shake, made mostly from ice-cream, was an awfully decadent way to start 2015.
So much for all those New Years resolutions!
