And then came the day, Christmas itself
We opened all under the tree, til bereft.
Tigger and team enjoyed the wrappings the most
And delighted in playing with what was left
The to the beautifully laid table we went
Crackers were “cracked’, and corny jokes did the rounds.
Paper hats were put on, and we ate Whitebait fritters,
Light and fluffy and perfectly browned.
We had champagne for starters, then wine after that
We ate more, rather than less
But the highlight was a big chocolate bowl filled to the brim
With a decadent dessert called Eaton Mess
